SoLAcc is thrilled to announce another outstanding showing at the national SkillsUSA competition. The SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference held June 23–27, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, brought together over 18,000 individuals, including students, instructors, and industry professionals.

Eight students competed in culinary and healthcare related competitions. The participating students had previously emerged victorious at the state-level competitions, ensuring that only the best of the best competed.

SoLAcc Winners:

  • Michele Aymond: Gold in Health Occupations Professional Portfolio
  • Thea Comeaux: Gold in Medical Assistant
  • Taylor Boutin: Silver in Medical Math

“These students brought their A-game to the national stage, and it paid off,” said Toni Celestine, SkillsUSA Chapter Advisor and Director of Career, Testing, Transfer, and Employer Services at SoLAcc. “Their wins are a testament not only to their talent and grit, but also to the instructors and programs that helped shape them. We’re proud to see SoLAcc students shine at this level—this is what excellence in action looks like.”

During the national competition, students compete against their peers and race against the clock to demonstrate their expertise in their chosen fields. Their success on the national stage reflects SoLAcc’s mission to equip students with real-world skills and confidence—preparing them not just to compete, but to lead in their careers and communities.
