ý (SoLAcc) is proud to announce its recognition in the 2025 Acadiana’s Choice Awards, where community members cast thousands of votes to celebrate the organizations and businesses that make Acadiana thrive.
SoLAcc was honored with GOLD for Best College, reinforcing its role as a leader in higher education and workforce development across the region. The College’s Early College Academy (ECA) also earned GOLD for Best High School, reflecting its success in preparing students for higher education and meaningful careers.
“These awards are especially meaningful because they come directly from the people and communities we serve,” said Dr. Vincent June, Chancellor of SoLAcc. “We are honored to be recognized alongside so many outstanding organizations, and we remain committed to providing Acadiana with premier educational opportunities that strengthen our community.”
In addition, the Foundation for SoLAcc was awarded BRONZE for Best Non-Profit, a testament to the community’s confidence in its mission of expanding opportunities for students through scholarships and vital support. “We are honored that the community has recognized the Foundation for SoLAcc as one of Acadiana’s Choice nonprofit
organizations,” said Lana Fontenot, Executive Director of the Foundation for SoLAcc. “This award reflects the generosity of our donors, the commitment of our board, and the passion of our team to create opportunities for students. Every scholarship and every resource we provide changes lives, and this recognition is a reminder of the impact we’re making in each of our Acadiana communities.”
