Power Line Worker
Our Certified Power Line worker training lets you master real-world skills in a hands-on environment, where you'll learn skills like operating industrial vehicles, pole-climbing, cable laying and stringing, line testing and inspecting, and safety procedures.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Our 20-week course is a partnership with local utility giants LUS, SLEMCO, Cleco, and Entergy.
Graduates will obtain the following credentials:
- Class A Commercial Driving License
- SMART Defensive Driving
- NCCER Core
- NCCER Lineman Level 1
- CPR/First Aid/AED
*The video incorrectly states that the program is 4 months, but it does, in fact, take 20 weeks (or 5 months) to complete.

COST:
- $11,500 with CDL
- $9,500 without CDL

REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Submit official high school/GED transcript
- Work Keys minimum score of "4", ACT minimum score of 16 or higher or, minimum GPA of 2.5
- Be comfortable working at heights
- Have a valid driver's license
- Obtain a Class A CDL learner's permit
- Pass a drug screening
- Pass a DOT physical
- Supply proof of valid medical insurance
