¾«¶«´«Ã½ recognizes the need to facilitate certification testing for individuals who have completed approved Nurse Aide Training (NAT) programs or have followed other Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) approved alternate routes.
This policy outlines SoLAcc's commitment to providing testing services for a wide range of candidates, including SoLAcc students, third-party program completers, and individuals eligible for alternate routes as determined by LDH.

Clinical Skills Exam: $60

HOW TO PREPARE FOR your EXAM
1. Log on Louisiana (LoLA) is your candidate information portal. You will be notified by email of your username and default password when your LoLA account is created. Please log into LOLA once this information is received.
2. All payment MUST be received prior to testing date. Payment can be submitted by the following options:
- Payments can be made in person at the Cashier’s Office in the Ardoin Building on the Lafayette Campus by cash, cashier’s check, or money order.
- Payments can be made online with an electronic check or debit/credit card through LoLA. Payments made with debit/credit cards will incur a convenience fee equal to 2.85% of the total payment. Electronic check payments do not incur any additional fees.
3. Please be sure to also log onto Canvas, the Learning Management System (LMS) used by the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) with your username and password to ensure you have access for your exam date.
4. Get a good night’s rest prior to the exam.
5. Eat a nutritious meal prior to testing.
DAY OF THE TEST
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
- Your photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.)
- Your proof of payment.
- LOLA username and password
PARKING
- All candidates should park in parking lot H on test date. This parking lot is located on Devalcourt St. on the right.
- Please enter the Ardoin Building through the front doors. You will report to Room 601B.
TEST CENTER PROCEDURES
1. ID Requirements: Bring two forms of identification. You must show a photo ID and sign in at the desk. ID documentation should be a current government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, and should include:
- a current photograph,
- candidate’s signature; and
- list the candidate’s permanent address.
2. Students should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the test.
3. Calculators are NOT allowed.
4. Scratch paper and pencils are provided. All scratch paper must be turned in to the test center staff before leaving the testing area.
5. Only people who are taking a test are allowed in our testing rooms.
6. The test center staff cannot be responsible for children or adults who require care and supervision.
7. Restroom breaks longer than 10 minutes will forfeit your testing session.
8. Once a candidate completes the exam and exits the exam room, he/she may NOT re-enter the exam room until all candidates have completed the exam.
RESTRICTED ITEMS
- Personal items other than identification documents are not allowed in the testing area.
- Food or drinks are NOT permitted in the testing area.
- Cellphones, personal computers, electronic tablets, electronic readers, cameras, MP3 players, pagers, radios, watches, electronic translators, calculators, ear buds and all other electronic devices are prohibited in the testing room. Only headphones provided by the testing center will be permitted.
- Any personal items must be stored in an assigned area in the testing center.
WHAT to WEAR ON THE DAY OF your CNA EXAM/SKILL
You should wear the scrubs that were required for your skills lab within your program.
TEST SCORES
Testing scores will be entered into the computer by the examiner. The LA-NACT system will determine the candidate's results. Before being dismissed on test day, the candidate will be informed of their testing results. Results can also be accessed by the candidate through the .
